How The College Exposure Showcase Works

1. Registration

Every participant fills out a bio online and will receive a Showcase shirt with an assigned number on the back color-coordinated to their graduating year  at check-in. This info is shared with all college coaches in attendance prior to the start of the Showcase to ensure maximum collegiate exposure.

2. Combine Testing

The wrestlers are first put through combine testing (strength, power, endurance) run by Mike DeMarco owner of Motives Movement, LLC. Mike and his team do a great job of collecting and analyzing data to let each student athlete and the coaches know how their results measure up to the other participants within their graduating class. Combine testing includes (1) max push ups in one minute, (2) 400 meter run, (3) vertical jump, (4) over-the-head sand bag toss for two minutes

5. College fair

There are multiple college fair sessions that take place throughout Showcase where participants have the opportunity to talk to the college coaches in attendance to learn more about their program, academics and campus life.

4. College level wrestling practice

Participants are put through a college level wrestling practice consisting of technique, intense drilling, living wrestling and conditioning while the college programs in attendance evaluate their skills and work ethic. The practice portion is run by college programs and world class clinicians.

3. College Planning Work Shop

Parents receive financial aid coaching and guidance in the college planning process from our College Planning Experts to help them save money and navigate through the college admissions process stress-free.

After the Showcase the participants bios, contact info and combine results are also shared with college coaches nationwide.
